Dien Thanh Border Guard Station sponsors poor students in educational areas
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the program "Helping children go to school" launched by the Nghe An Border Guard Command, on November 4, the Youth Union of Dien Thanh Border Guard Station visited and presented gifts to Le Hoang Anh, a poor parishioner's child who overcame difficulties to study well in hamlet 8, Dien Hai commune, Dien Chau district, studying in class 10C6, Dien Chau 4 High School.
At Le Hoang Anh's house, the representative of the Dien Thanh Border Guard Station's Youth Union presented her with a gift worth 500,000 VND, taken from the "Helping Children Go to School" fund, which was voluntarily donated by the unit's staff from a portion of their monthly salary. Receiving the gift, Le Hoang Anh was extremely excited and moved, saying: "This is a great concern of the Border Guard officers for me, it will help me buy more documents and school supplies. I promise to try to overcome all difficulties, constantly strive to study hard to become a good citizen of the locality, so as not to disappoint the care and support of the Border Guard officers!"

It is known that Le Hoang Anh is the fifth child in a poor Catholic family of 9 siblings, but has made many efforts to excel in his studies. Throughout 9 years of primary and secondary school, he has always achieved the title of excellent student and advanced student.
Previously, the Youth Union of Dien Thanh Border Guard Station also visited and gave gifts to encourage Le Van Thong, a student of class 3D, Dien Hai Primary School, with a gift worth 400,000 VND. Thong is the son of Ms. Le Thi Hien, a poor Catholic who suffered from Agent Orange aftereffects from her father who participated in the resistance war against the US, in Hamlet 8, Dien Hai Commune (Dien Chau, Nghe An).
