Nam Can International Border Gate Border Post: Seized 6kg of firecrackers
(Baonghean.vn) - At 5:30 p.m. on January 12, in the area of Truong Son village, Nam Can commune, the Border Guard Station of Nam Can International Border Gate, Nghe An Border Guard caught a subject red-handed in the act of illegally transporting firecrackers.

The arrested subject is Lo Van Duong, born in 1981, residing in Ba village - Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, who was on his way to transport firecrackers from across the border to Nghe An for sale when he was arrested. Evidence seized at the scene was 6kg of foreign-made firecrackers.
Initial testimony from Duong said: He went across the border to buy firecrackers to sell in Vietnam. To avoid the authorities, Duong hired a Laotian to transport the firecrackers to Vietnam through illegal routes for a fee of 400,000 kip (about 1 million VND), and he went through the border gate with a legal passport, but was arrested when he arrived at the place to receive the goods.
