Thanh Thuy Border Gate Border Post holds traditional discussion

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of March 2, at Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district, officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station held a discussion, meeting, and reviewing the tradition of the unit, which was twice a Hero of the People's Armed Forces of Nghe An Border Guard.

Attending the discussion were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of the district Party Committee, Thanh Chuong District People's Committee, units associated with the station and a large number of people from Thanh Thuy commune.

The delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the Border Guard in protecting the border markers, strengthening support for the authorities and people along the border to develop the socio-economy, and fostering solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. In recent years, Thanh Thuy Border Gate Station, together with the system of border communication stations, has strengthened mass mobilization work, building a solid all-people Border Guard posture.

Thanh Chuong district and units sent flowers and gifts to congratulate Thanh Thuy police station.

In 2013, in addition to performing well the tasks of patrolling, protecting the border, and fighting against all kinds of crimes, Thanh Thuy Station closely coordinated with other forces to successfully carry out the task of renovating and increasing the thickness of border markers between Vietnam and Laos, coordinating the protection and construction of marker 460 and the inauguration ceremony of renovating and increasing the thickness of border markers at the border gate.

On this occasion, the District Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Chuong District and twinned units presented flowers and gifts to congratulate officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station.
