November 10, 2013 00:27

(Baonghean.vn) - Within just one day, officers and soldiers of My Ly Border Post (Nghe An Border Guard) continuously achieved feats on the crime prevention front. The detectives discovered, arrested, and handled 3 cases of law violators, and rescued 1 victim of human trafficking.

At 1:00 a.m. on November 8, the My Ly Border Guard Station Command received a report from the people that in the Huoi Cang 1 village area, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, a strange man had contacted women with many signs of discontent. After a quick meeting, the unit's Command determined that this was most likely a human trafficker from another place who had come to the area to lure gullible women into being sold abroad.

Immediately, the plan to capture the subject was deployed, directly commanded by Captain Vi Van Trong, deputy head of My Ly Border Post. The force was divided into 3 ambush groups and quickly went to the area to block the points where the subject could pass. The moment the night turned to morning, the cold dew still did not shake the spirit of the scouts. The "hunters" still patiently waited for the "prey" to appear.

At around 4 o'clock, in the dark of the Ky Son mountains, the scouts discovered two figures walking slowly towards the ambush formation. Waiting for the subjects to completely enter the formation, a loud, clear, and decisive shout was heard: "Stop! We are the Border Guard on duty, please let us check your identification papers."

Too surprised, both were speechless, standing rooted to the spot. After checking that both subjects did not have identification papers, the detectives made a record of the crime. Exploiting "hot" the subject said his name was Lu Van Bich (born in 1990, in Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province) who went to Bac Ly commune to lure women to sell to China for profit at the request of a female owner there. The victim was Ms. Lo Thi Hom (born in 1994, residing in Huoi Cang 1 village, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district).

On the way to escort the subject to the police station for further investigation and clarification, with a "professional" eye, the detectives discovered from afar a subject with many suspicious signs. Captain Vi Van Trong immediately approached and asked the subject to stop for inspection. The subject immediately ran away, but he could not escape the pursuing force and was arrested. The subject confessed that he was Lo Chan Thoong (born in 1980, residing in Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province) who went to My Ly commune, Ky Son district to buy drugs to sell for profit, but because it was a rare day, he was only able to buy 2 synthetic drug pills.

At the same time, the unit was reported by the people that two subjects had organized the theft of two cows from the villagers and were on their way to sell them. The unit immediately organized forces to arrest them. When they discovered that the Border Guard was chasing them, they hastily fled into the forest, leaving behind two cows worth about 20 million VND. The unit returned the cows to the owners and continued to coordinate with the local authorities to continue investigating and arresting the cow thieves for legal action.

The achievements of My Ly Border Guard Station have strengthened the trust of ethnic people on the border in the Border Guard force and contributed to maintaining security and order, ensuring social safety and order in the border area.
