Receiving the certificate of historical and architectural relic of Dinh Chay
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 22, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition as a provincial-level historical and architectural relic of Dinh Chay in Dien Yen commune.
Dinh Chay is a village communal house, now located in Hamlet 8, Dien Yen Commune (Dien Chau), built by local people during the Nguyen Dynasty in the early 19th century to worship three deities: Cao Son - Cao Cac, the village's God; to worship General Quan Luong, who helped King Le fight the Ming invaders; and to worship the founder of Ca Tru, Tran Duc Chinh. During the resistance war against the French colonialists, the communal house was the secret place of the Yen Ly Party Cell, and it was also the place where drums were beaten to gather the people of Van Phan commune to rise up and seize power in 1945. Since then, Dinh Chay has become a place for cultural activities of the people here.
