Receiving martyrs' remains back to their homeland

On the morning of December 22, on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, at the martyrs' cemetery in Vinh City (Nghe An), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to receive the remains of martyrs with names and addresses to their hometown in Nghe An. Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Special Working Group of Nghe An province, as head of the delegation, received the remains of 2 martyrs from their hometown in Nghe An from the Command of Military Region 7.

Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Special Working Group of Nghe An province, as head of the delegation, received the remains of 2 martyrs from their hometown in Nghe An from the Command of Military Region 7.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Military Region 4, leaders of Vinh City, Do Luong District and relatives of martyrs' families.



A solemn moment of flag salute and silence before the remains of martyrs

During this period, Nghe An province welcomed the remains of two martyrs: Ho Anh Yen, native of Hung Hoa commune, Vinh city and Hoang Ba Dao, native of Bac Son commune, Do Luong district, who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and performed noble international duties in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The remains of the martyrs were brought back to the country by the martyrs' grave collection groups of Military Region 7 in the dry season of 2011-2012.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Thong - Head of the Policy Department of Military Region 7 expressed his deep condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished them to rest in peace in their homeland. He also thanked the Nghe An provincial government for organizing the reception and promised that Military Region 7 would continue to search for and recover the remains of the martyrs who are still on the Cambodian battlefield and bring them back to their homeland.

Delegation of Vinh City Party Committee and People's Committee visited martyrs

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province and the armed forces and people of the province, comrade Le Xuan Dai expressed his sincere respect and gratitude for the contributions of the heroic martyrs, who sacrificed their lives to protect the independence and freedom of the two countries of Vietnam and Cambodia. The government and people of Nghe An province will continue to uphold and promote the heroic revolutionary tradition, strive to learn from the heroic martyrs' sacrifices, and be determined to build Nghe An into a prosperous province of the country. At the same time, foster the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia to grow more and more.
