(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 12, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the leaders of Hung Nguyen district to listen to reports on the socio-economic situation and the implementation of the district's targets for the 2011-2015 period; issues of management, conservation, restoration and promotion of historical relic values ​​in the area.

At the meeting, the leaders of the district People's Committee reported on the socio-economic development of the district in the past time, accordingly: In 2013, the socio-economic development of Hung Nguyen district had a good development step, with 26/33 socio-economic development targets reaching and exceeding the set plan. The economic growth rate reached 5.74%, the average income per capita reached 19.8 million VND/year. The economic structure shifted in the right direction, the value of industry and construction increased by 8.5%, services increased by 9.8% compared to the same period. The total budget revenue in the area reached nearly 520 billion VND; the construction of new rural areas was focused on and effectively implemented. Up to now, 22/22 communes have approved the planning and project of new rural areas. There are 8 communes meeting 10-15 criteria, 10 communes meeting 5-10 criteria; Implementing the Resolution of the 27th District Party Congress, out of 30 socio-economic targets set, up to now, the district has achieved and exceeded 12 targets. It is expected that by 2015, the district will have 19 targets achieved and exceeded, 3 targets will be achieved. Regarding the management and organization of activities at relics: Hung Nguyen currently has 111 relics. Of which, 12 relics are ranked as national relics, 14 are provincial relics.

Reporting at the meeting, the leaders of Hung Nguyen district also pointed out the difficulties in implementing projects in the area, the implementation of the national target program on new rural construction, difficulties and inadequacies in managing relics; at the same time, they asked for the province's direction on issues related to the district's socio-economic development in the coming time.

After listening to comments from departments, branches and sectors, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh highly appreciated the efforts and strivings of the Party Committee, government and people of Hung Nguyen district in the past time. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also pointed out: The economic growth rate and average income per capita are still lower than the average of the province. The results achieved are not commensurate with the potential and advantages of the district as well as the aspirations of the people. Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh requested: the leaders of Hung Nguyen district, on the basis of receiving comments from departments, branches and sectors, stick to the tasks set out and the congress targets to propose new breakthroughs; Focus on effective solutions to well implement the set targets; Take the lead in implementing investment projects that will be deployed in the area in the coming time by building a good investment environment, preparing human resources to work in industrial parks; in planning projects, minimizing the need for relocation, it is necessary to do a good job of resettlement before implementing the project.

Regarding the management, conservation, restoration and promotion of historical relic values ​​in the area, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh suggested that the leaders of Hung Nguyen district base on the existing planning to divide into phases, prioritize importance, and capital sources for restoration and restoration; innovate in leadership thinking, promote socialization to build works as well as organize festivals and cultural events with unique characteristics of the district; promote tourism development, tourism associated with destinations and tourism products, connect with Cua Lo town, Vinh city and Nam Dan district to form tourist tours.
