The delegation inspected Bau Non area, dyke 42 section passing through Nam Dan district, flooded rice area in Nam Anh commune (Nam Dan). Next, comrade Dinh Viet Hong and the working delegation inspected Hung Chau pumping station (Hung Nguyen), Cong Rao Dung (Nghi Thai) to drain water for the southeast of Vinh city, and inspected the flooded summer-autumn rice area in Hung Yen Nam, Hung Yen Bac and Hung Trung communes (Hung Nguyen). According to the report of Hung Nguyen district, the flood damaged more than 1,550 hectares of summer-autumn rice, of which 1,050 hectares were damaged by about 70%, 400 hectares of vegetables, 300 hectares of third-crop fish farming were completely lost. In which, Hung Trung area suffered the most damage, nearly 100% of the summer-autumn rice area with more than 300 hectares completely lost, water flooded into the houses of 750/2,200 households. Hung Nguyen district directed the mobilization of all drainage pumps, opening all the capacity of pumps in Hung Chau and Hung Dao. Directed communes and towns to close the sluices to prevent water from the river from flooding into the fields. The District People's Committee has issued a telegram directing communes and towns to organize dredging of waterways to reduce damage caused by flooding.

After inspecting the actual situation in the localities, comrade Dinh Viet Hong noted that units need to regularly check culverts, dams, and traffic works; focus on mobilizing people to harvest summer-autumn rice areas that have not been flooded, and harvest rice as soon as it is ripe. Regularly monitor weather developments; arrange forces to be on duty 24/7 to have timely handling plans for unusual situations that may occur. Review areas at risk of flash floods and landslides, proactively evacuate people to safe places, ensuring people's lives and property.
