In Quynh Ba commune, Quynh Luu district, the delegation inspected some rice fields that had been in bloom before April 15. This time, the entire Quynh Luu district had 700 hectares out of a total of more than 7,500 hectares of spring rice that had been in bloom early during the rainy season.

The phenomenon of early rice flowering also occurred in Yen Thanh district, the total area of ​​flowering before April 15 of the district was nearly 2,000 hectares, accounting for more than 12% of the total rice area of ​​the district. Early rice flowering in unfavorable weather conditions made local authorities and farmers worried about rice pests and diseases, especially neck blast and grain sterility. However, thanks to good implementation of previous rice blast disease prevention, this area is still in a safe period.

In Dien Chau, comrade Dinh Viet Hong inspected rice in Dien Nguyen commune. In the spring crop of 2015, Dien Chau district planted more than 9,200 hectares, up to now, nearly 300 hectares of rice have bloomed. The remaining area is expected to bloom in the period from April 15-25.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong directed localities to regularly visit fields, check and fertilize rice-growing areas, and monitor the development of rice pests and diseases. He also requested localities to guide farmers to spray rice blast disease in rice-growing areas that encounter rain or fog in the early morning to protect the spring rice-growing areas safely and securely.
