Accompanying him were leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

With 11 communes located on the Lam River alluvial plain, Do Luong has many advantages in livestock development. Over the years, identifying this as one of the key economic sectors, Do Luong has had many reasonable policies in developing this important economic sector. Currently, in the district, there are 12 concentrated pig farms with a scale of 150 - 500 pigs, the total herd of livestock and poultry is up to 1,673,694 pigs, in the area there is U market (Dai Son) with the largest scale in the North, consuming about 75,000 buffaloes and cows each year. Since the beginning of the year, although the blue ear disease has occurred in neighboring districts such as Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, thanks to the development of effective prevention plans, the disease has not appeared in Do Luong.

At the meeting, the leaders of Do Luong district also reported and made recommendations to the working delegation about the facilities as well as difficulties in human resources and working equipment at Van Son Livestock Breeding Station - a place providing livestock breeding services and breeding animals for Do Luong district and some neighboring localities.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Do Luong district to immediately organize the implementation of vaccination in the autumn crop with a high rate. At the same time, continue to have directions as well as propose effective solutions to promote livestock development, rapidly increase the number of small and medium-sized livestock farms, and comprehensive farms to produce breeds on the spot and increase income value. Continue to do a good job of prevention and control, minimizing damage caused by epidemics in livestock and poultry. He also requested Do Luong district and the Livestock Breeding Station to provide specific advice so that the Province and the Department of Agriculture can have reasonable solutions to the above recommendations.
