Morning of October 18, closing sessionNational Congress of Vietnam Fatherland FrontThe 10th Congress, term 2024 - 2029 was solemnly held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi after more than 2 days of urgent and responsible work, with the spirit of solidarity, democracy, innovation and creativity.
Comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Presidium of the congress chaired the conference.
At the closing session, the congress heard a report summarizing the results of the presentations and discussions; speech by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long on the situation and tasks of socio-economic development of the country, coordination between the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; speech by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong on coordination between the National Assembly and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Presidium of the congress reported on the results of the 1st Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024 - 2029, and introduced the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024 - 2029; and said goodbye to those who will not continue to participate in the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024 - 2029.
Speaking at the ceremony to receive the assignment, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, 2024-2029, comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, respectfully thanked the congress for its high trust, democratic consultation to elect 397 members to the Committee, 67 members to the Presidium; consultation to elect the Chairman, Vice Chairman - General Secretary, 2 full-time Vice Chairmen and 7 part-time Vice Chairmen.
Emphasizing our deep sense of honor and great responsibility, we promise, on behalf of the Presidium, Comrade Do Van Chien affirms that we will be dedicated to the assigned tasks, promote intelligence, uphold responsibility, work to the best of our ability; overcome all difficulties, strive to complete the assigned tasks in the best way. Focus on synchronously, flexibly, and creatively implementing tasks and solutions, maintaining solidarity, unanimity, consensus, and successfully implementing the directions, goals, and tasks set forth by the congress.

With a very high consensus, the congress passed the Resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029, to continue to concretize the Party's policies and guidelines on building the great national unity bloc and Front work.
Previously, at the working session on the afternoon of October 17, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front approved the number of members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024 - 2029, including 405 members, the Presidium of 72 members, the Standing Committee of 6 members; and 8 non-professional Vice Chairmen.
On that basis, the congress consulted and elected the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024 - 2029, with 397 members, 8 of whom will be supplemented during the term; of which:Delegation of Nghe An provinceThere are 6 candidates elected as members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, 2024 - 2029.
At the first conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, democratic consultation elected 67 members to join the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The 5 vacant positions will be filled during the term.
The conference democratically elected 4 members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, to join the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, including:
1.Comrade Do Van Chien- Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, holds the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
2. Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front holds the position of Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
3. Comrade Hoang Cong Thuy - Member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
4. Comrade To Thi Bich Chau - Member of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front holds the position of Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure.
The conference democratically elected 7 members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, to hold the position of non-professional Vice Presidents of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, including:
1. Comrade Ha Thi Khiet - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission.
2. Comrade Nguyen Thi Doan - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
3. Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon - Deputy Supreme Patriarch of the Council of Patriarchs, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
4. Priest Tran Xuan Manh - President of the Central Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics.
5. Comrade Nguyen Lan Huong - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City.
6. Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
7. Comrade Do Hong Quan - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.
