(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 17, 2014, during the visit and working program in Ky Son district, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited some economic models of the people in the district and worked with Bao Thang commune.
Accompanying the delegation were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's departments, leaders of the Departments of Planning and Investment, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development.
Bao Thang has a total area of over 8,053 hectares. The population is divided into 5 villages, with 392 households and 2,035 people, mainly Khmu ethnic people. People mainly cultivate hybrid corn, with a low per capita income of only over 6.5 million VND/person. The poverty rate of the commune is still high, accounting for 74.42% of households. Due to this situation, the construction of new rural areas faces many difficulties. At the meeting, the leaders of Bao Thang commune proposed that the province pay attention to building a new office because the current office is degraded and does not ensure working conditions; pay attention to bringing the national power grid to the commune.

Concluding the working session, comrade Ho Duc Phoc requested the commune to focus on developing production, livestock and forest protection, speeding up poverty reduction; paying attention to developing culture, education and health, ensuring rapid development; maintaining security and order. Regarding party building, he requested: Party members and cadres must be united, exemplary, responsible, and pioneers in all fields; in addition, focusing on propaganda and training to develop new party members. He also requested relevant departments and branches to have solutions to help and support Bao Thang commune to escape poverty. Regarding the commune's recommendations, the Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged and directed relevant branches to soon have solutions to overcome them.
