Comrade Ho Duc Phoc presents gifts from the Vice President to cancer patients

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 24, comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to patient Nguyen Thi Ty who is being treated at the Internal Medicine Department, Nghe An Oncology Hospital.

This patient has late-stage breast cancer and is facing many difficulties in life. Although the disease was detected early, because she was pregnant, she refused early intervention for the sake of her child. After giving birth, the cancer metastasized to the liver.

The Provincial Party Secretary presented gifts to cancer patient Nguyen Thi Ty.

Unfortunately, the child was born with heart disease and colon enlargement. The family is currently in a very difficult situation, the husband works as a construction worker and the family is still in debt of nearly 200 million VND for medical treatment. The family's house was also mortgaged to pay for medical treatment for the mother and child.

Knowing about Ms. Ty's unfortunate situation, comrade Nguyen Thi Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, supported her with an amount of 10 million VND.

On the occasion of the Vice President's gift to Ms. Ty, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Duc Phoc also presented Ms. Ty with 5 million VND with the wish to share part of the burden of her family's hardships.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the Board of Directors of the Oncology Hospital to create the best conditions in terms of technology, material and spirit to treat patient Nguyen Thi Ty, helping her to soon stabilize her health so that she has the strength to take care of herself, her children and her family.
