(Baonghean.vn) - During his visit to Nghe An province, this morning, June 30th, Comrade Le Kha Phieu - former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam - visited and had a cordial conversation with the collective of cadres, reporters, and staff of the Nghe An Newspaper editorial office from different periods. Accompanying him were Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from several departments and offices of the Provincial Party Committee.

(Baonghean.vn) - During his visit to Nghe An province, this morning, June 30th, Comrade Le Kha Phieu - former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam - visited and had a cordial conversation with the collective of cadres, reporters, and staff of the Nghe An Newspaper editorial office from different periods. Accompanying him were Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from several departments and offices of the Provincial Party Committee.

Earlier, Comrade Le Kha Phieu visited and offered incense in remembrance of the late veteran revolutionary, Major General, Deputy Commander of Military Region IV - Tran Van An, in Truong Thi ward, Vinh City, Nghe An province.

Comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, on behalf of the collective of cadres, reporters, and staff of all generations of Nghe An Newspaper, expressed her joy and honor in welcoming Comrade Le Kha Phieu, former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, to visit the Nghe An Newspaper's editorial office. Comrade Le Kha Phieu was one of the leaders who was always close to the people, listening to their opinions, and especially had many insightful opinions, profound memories, and close attention to those working in journalism.

For 51 years, Nghe An Newspaper has always received special attention from the Party Committee, government, and people of the province, as well as the trust and affection of readers near and far. The staff, reporters, and employees of Nghe An People's Newspaper (now Nghe An Newspaper) have successfully fulfilled their mission as "the voice of the Party, government, and people of Nghe An," becoming a local Party newspaper with a prominent position in the region and nationwide.

From a black-and-white print newspaper published twice a week with a circulation of 2,000 copies per issue, and an editorial office of only 9 people in extremely basic and deprived conditions, the Nghe An Newspaper now has a staff of 70 people, including reporters and employees. The young staff are well-trained, with 95% holding university degrees, and 100% of the reporters holding university degrees or two or more postgraduate degrees. The office is grand and spacious; the basic equipment for publishing and operations is fully equipped with a modern production line. Currently, the Nghe An Newspaper publishes 4 publications; the print publications have a circulation of over 12,500 copies per issue and are printed in 4 colors; the online publication receives more than 50,000 visits per day. With the results achieved, Nghe An Newspaper is considered one of the top 5 local Party newspapers in the country.

In a cordial conversation with generations of cadres, reporters, and staff of Nghe An Newspaper, Comrade Le Kha Phieu expressed his delight at the achievements of the newspaper's staff throughout its history. Throughout various periods, Nghe An Newspaper has successfully fulfilled its political nhiệm vụ, promoting, commending, and replicating advanced models and exemplary individuals, while also combating negative manifestations and contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. He emphasized that the task of journalists is extremely arduous, requiring them to be steadfast in their political stance, cultivate moral character, continuously improve their knowledge, skills, and expertise, and stay close to the realities of life. The former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam expressed his confidence in the generations of Nghe An Newspaper staff in their continuous efforts to improve the quality of both the content and form of the newspaper.
