Comrade Le Quang Huy works in Ky Son district

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 29, during a working trip to inspect the results of implementing goals and targets in the first 8 months of 2014, comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee went to work in Ky Son District.

In Ky Son district, comrade Le Quang Huy worked with the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee. After listening to the report of the District Party Committee on the results achieved in the past time, he highly appreciated the results that the Party Committee and people of Ky Son district have strived to achieve.

Ky Son is a mountainous border district, one of the 62 poor districts of the country, with 192 km of border adjacent to 5 districts of 3 provinces of Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bo Ly Kham Xay of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Ethnic minorities account for 95%, of which Mong 36%, Kho Mu 32%; Thai 27%; Kinh, Hoa about 5% of the total population of the district of more than 73,000 people. The rate of poor households accounts for 60.93%, transportation is difficult, especially in the rainy season.

Despite many difficulties, Ky Son has tried to achieve some achievements in socio-economics; in implementing socio-economic development goals and targets, up to now, 5/5 economic targets have been achieved; 2/10 social targets have been achieved; 2/3 environmental targets have been achieved; infrastructure has been regularly improved and consolidated; up to now, there are no more joint party cells; 100% of hamlets and villages have party cells and party members.

Speaking at the working session, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee gave directions for the coming time, which are: Focus on reviewing, taking measures and solutions to complete the goals and targets set by the District Party Congress for the 2010-2015 term. Maintain border security and sovereignty, ensure political security and social safety in the area; strengthen the great national unity bloc; do a good job in foreign affairs with the brotherly country of Laos. Focus on hunger eradication and poverty reduction, job creation, and improving the living standards of the people. Implement well the project to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations, rectify working style and manners, and improve the quality of Party cell activities. Focus on building a comprehensively strong political system from the district to the grassroots level, properly handle arising issues and pressing public opinions, and ensure political security in the area. Direct Party organizations to strictly implement Directive 36-CT/T.Ư and documents from higher levels guiding Party Congresses at all levels for the 2015-2020 term; prepare good human resources, meeting the standards and conditions for the next term Party Committee. In the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on directing Party cells under the Party Committee to prepare congress contents to move towards the grassroots Party Congress and the District Party Congress on schedule.

During the working trip, comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and presented gifts to comrade Vu Chong Pao, former Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front, former Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district - a man loyal to the revolution.

Comrade Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committeealso inspected the preparation work for the Party Congress of Nam Can commune for the 2015-2020 term.
