Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son congratulated the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities

(Baoghean.vn) -On the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20), this morning (November 17), comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, together with representatives of the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Youth Union, came to congratulate the teachers of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son praised the achievements of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities in recent times.

The Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School was established in October 1984 with the original name of Nghe Tinh High School. This is one of the earliest provincial boarding ethnic schools established in the country. Over the past 28 years, the school has trained 2,700 high school graduates, of which about 70% passed the college and university entrance exams; the school's other achievements are among the top in the system of boarding ethnic high schools nationwide. The school has been awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals by the Party and the State. In the 2011-2012 school year, 100% of the school's students graduated from high school, 85% passed the university and college entrance exams, 5 students passed the university entrance exams with high scores and were commended by the Provincial People's Committee. Currently, 60% of the school's teachers are excellent teachers of the province, 60% have master's degrees.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son praised the achievements that teachers and students of the Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities have achieved in the past time. He hoped that in the coming time, the collective of teachers and students of the school will continue to promote the achievements, complete the tasks well, become a prestigious educational address, train the best young people of the ethnic groups in the province, contribute to creating a source of ethnic minority cadres for localities and the province.
