Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers and policy families.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017), on the morning of July 20, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the War Invalids Nursing Center, the Mental Health Nursing Center for War Invalids and some policy families in Vinh city.
Accompanying the delegation were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and local leaders.

The Center for Nursing War Invalids and the Center for Nursing War Invalids with Mental Illness in Nghe An Province are both located in Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District. The Center for Nursing War Invalids is currently caring for nearly 70 seriously wounded and sick soldiers from Nghe An and Ha Tinh Provinces; while the Center for Nursing War Invalids with Mental Illness is currently treating and caring for 98 wounded and sick soldiers, children of martyrs, and other subjects with mental illness due to war consequences.

Over the years, the two centers have always fulfilled their assigned tasks well; devotedly caring for, nursing, rehabilitating, and implementing policies and regimes for wounded and sick soldiers.
At the centers, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son kindly visited the health and living conditions of the wounded and sick soldiers and encouraged their spirits; expressed gratitude and respect for their contributions to the cause of fighting for national independence and freedom.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the province always pays attention to and creates favorable conditions for implementing policies to care for war invalids, martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution. He praised and acknowledged the efforts and dedication of the leaders and staff of the two units in caring for war invalids and sick soldiers. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, the staff at the centers continue to promote their responsibilities and excellently complete their tasks.
Next, the provincial delegation visited policy families in Vinh city: the family of Mr. Nguyen Khanh Bang - 1/4 war invalid (Trung Hoa 2 block, Le Mao ward); the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Chau - infected with level 1 chemical toxins (block 13, Quang Trung ward); the family of Mrs. Ngo Thi Vuong - wife of martyr Nguyen Van Chien (block 12, Vinh Tan ward).

The three families that the delegation visited were all in difficult economic circumstances, mainly relying on the state's support system. In addition, the wounded, sick soldiers, and wives of martyrs were all old and weak, so life was very difficult. At the families, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son kindly asked and hoped that the wounded and sick soldiers would make efforts, continue to be an example of perseverance in overcoming difficulties and rising up in life; and requested that the locality continue to care, help, and create conditions to help the families reduce their difficulties.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 3 gifts to 3 families, each gift worth 2 million VND.
