On the afternoon of June 30, the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training held the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Attending the Congress were comrade Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, and 79 comrades who are party members of the Department of Education and Training Party Committee.
Many targets reached early
Term 2020 - 2025, Party CommitteeDepartment of Education and Traininghas promoted the role of political nucleus, comprehensively leading the activities of the agency, contributing to the implementation of the political tasks of the industry.

During the implementation process, the Party Committee has specified the goals, targets, and breakthroughs in the action program and work plan, achieving many positive results. Cadres, Party members, and civil servants with a high sense of responsibility and working capacity have met the requirements and assigned tasks, helping the Party Committee to effectively and qualitatively implement all aspects of the agency's and the Party Committee's activities.
At the end of the term, most of the targets were achieved and exceeded the plan. Specifically, the target of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress was completed and exceeded with the expected rate of schools meeting national standards by 2025 being over 80% (the target of the Congress was 75 - 78%); the comprehensive education quality has made remarkable progress, affirming its position in the top of the country; the work of ensuring the quality of education is focused; the province is the pioneer in building and implementing the 2018 general education program, a number of school models, educational activities, creating breakthroughs in fundamental and comprehensive innovation...

Some main goals of the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training for the 2025 - 2030 term:
+100% of the targets on education and training set out in the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. 100% of the province's socio-economic targets on education and training. 100% of the targets are coordinated with relevant Departments and branches in the field of education and training.
+ 85% of preschool and general education facilities are meeting national standards, of which 30% are meeting level 2 standards.
+80% of vocational education and university institutions have achieved national accreditation, of which 1 to 2 schools and a number of majors have achieved regional and international accreditation.
+ Improve the quality of universal primary education level 3, universal secondary education level 2 (in which, over 85% of commune-level units reach level 3) and achieve universal preschool education for preschool children.
+ Gradually make English the second language in schools in the province.
+ Building a smart educational city "Connecting - Discovering - Enlightening"; creating a breakthrough in development, making Nghe An the center of the North Central region and the whole country in education and training.
Enhancing the status of education
At the congress, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, comrade Pham Tuan Vinh acknowledged the achievements that the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training had achieved in the past term. At the same time, he praised the sense of responsibility and initiative of the Party Committee of the Department in preparing and organizing the congress, and highly agreed with the reports presented at the congress.
Entering the new term, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training is facing great opportunities and challenges.
However, this is also an opportunity for the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training to continue to affirm the role and position of the industry in the overall development of the province.
Therefore, right after the congress, comrade Pham Tuan Vinh suggested that the Party Committee urgently develop an action program to implement the resolution, assign responsibilities clearly, and implement it vigorously right from the first year of the term. Strengthen inspection and supervision work, create clear changes, ensure the completion of the resolution's targets, and contribute to the construction and socio-economic development of Nghe An province.
During the implementation process, the Party Committee needs to focus on leading and directing the implementation of many important contents such as restructuring the apparatus, advising on reviewing policies (policies for mountainous areas, ethnic groups, educational regions, teachers, etc.), applying digital transformation, scientific research; international cooperation, training linkage; resource mobilization;...
In addition, it is necessary to improve the effectiveness of coordination with local authorities and committees when starting to implement the 2-level local government model. In the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on solutions to solve the problem of local surplus and shortage, regarding teaching 2 sessions/day, arranging capital to invest in facilities, building schools, etc.
At the Congress, the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Education and Training for the 2025 - 2030 term with 14 comrades.
