Comrade Tran Hong Chau visited and presented gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs.
(Baonghean) -On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2011), this afternoon, July 23, comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and presented gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs in Quynh Luu and Yen Thanh districts. Accompanying him were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Veterans Association of Nghe An province.
In Quynh Luu district, the delegation visited and presented gifts to mother Nguyen Thi Deo, 93 years old, in hamlet 6, Quynh Chau commune, the mother of two martyrs Ho Ba Vi (died in 1979 on the Lao battlefield) and Ho Ba Tuat (died in 1981 on the Cambodian battlefield). Visited and presented gifts to war invalid ¼ Nguyen Van Thieng, born in 1949 in hamlet 4B, Quynh Chau commune. He was awarded the Third Class Resistance Medal, the Third Class Liberation Soldier Medal, and the 40-year Party membership badge by the Party and State. Currently, due to poor health and a relapse of his old wound, he is being treated at the Nghe An War Invalids and Sickness Nursing Center.

In Yen Thanh district, the delegation presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Truong Thi Lan, 95 years old, in Hamlet 3, Tang Thanh commune, whose only son Thai Huu Hong died in 1967, and Ms. Dang Thi Dieu, currently living in Block 1, Yen Thanh town, is the wife of martyr Vu Van Dinh, who died in Dien Bien Phu during the anti-French period.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Tran Hong Chau expressed the gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of the province to the families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and martyrs, and sent his warm regards and best wishes to the families. He hoped that localities would continue to care for families with revolutionary contributions in the area. The families would uphold the revolutionary tradition and raise their children to adulthood.
