On the morning of January 17, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held a conference to review self-criticism and criticism in 2017. Comrade Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department attended and directed the conference.

Also attending were comrade Vo Van Phuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, representatives of the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, the Central Office; leaders of departments of the Central Party Committees assigned to monitor Nghe An.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh said that after receiving the Central Committee's direction in Official Dispatch No. 3393 dated November 10, 2017 of the Central Organizing Committee on reviewing collectives and individuals and evaluating and classifying the quality of grassroots party organizations and party members in 2017 and Official Dispatch No. 5580 dated December 22, 2017 of the Central Party Office on suggesting a review in 2017, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee issued a plan to organize a serious review; develop draft reports on collective and individual reviews in accordance with regulations.

In addition to focusing on analyzing and clarifying the shortcomings and limitations according to the 2017 review suggestions of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee directed to clarify the results of overcoming and correcting the shortcomings and limitations pointed out in the 2016 review report of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the self-criticism and criticism review report according to Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (12th tenure) and the implementation of Action Program No. 26 of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee to implement Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (12th tenure) in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; at the same time, seriously directed to edit, supplement and complete the draft collective and individual review reports after receiving the direction of the recent Central working group.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that organizing a conference to review self-criticism and criticism is an important annual activity on Party building work, an opportunity for the collective and individual members of the Standing Committee to review and comprehensively evaluate the advantages, shortcomings and limitations in leadership, direction and implementation of the province's political tasks, especially the contents suggested by the Central Party Secretariat for review, as a basis for proposing more correct and effective policies and solutions in the coming time.

“I hope that the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee will continue to promote the spirit of the 4th Central Resolution (12th tenure), spend time carefully studying the reports, correctly assess the advantages, frankly point out the limitations, weaknesses, and shortcomings; clearly define the roles and responsibilities of collectives and individuals in leading and directing the implementation of political tasks, policies, resolutions of the Party, and state laws, avoiding favoritism and formalism” - the Provincial Party Secretary pointed out.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Propaganda Department said that, according to the assignment of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, he and the working delegation attended the collective and individual review of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee in 2017 to review, analyze, and clarify the outstanding results and issues that need to be learned from in leading and directing the implementation of political tasks according to the suggestions of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat.

Comrade Vo Van Thuong assessed that the content of the Central Party Secretariat's review suggestions for the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee was quite comprehensive in most areas such as: implementation of political, economic and social tasks; Party building, political system, political security and social order and safety; results of overcoming and correcting the limitations and weaknesses pointed out in the 2016 review and new issues being implemented related to building a streamlined political system apparatus that operates effectively and efficiently.

At the conference, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Vo Van Thuong suggested: "The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, with a truly receptive and serious spirit, needs to look straight at the truth, tell the truth, analyze and clarify the achieved results as well as frankly point out the limitations and weaknesses in the aspects that the Central Party Secretariat has suggested; clarify the causes of the positive aspects as well as the limitations and shortcomings; draw experience in leadership and direction of the implementation of political tasks in the coming time".

Comrade Vo Van Thuong also suggested that each individual in the Provincial Party Standing Committee should be deeply aware of their responsibilities for collective reviews in conjunction with their assigned personal responsibilities to complete the collective review. In that spirit, each comrade, depending on his or her individual responsibilities, should carefully study the collective review to complete the individual review.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department believes: "The review will meet the requirements, contributing positively and practically to the implementation of the Central Resolution 4 (12th tenure) on strengthening Party building and rectification; preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party; contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Party and the Resolution of the Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee".

Next, the Provincial Party Standing Committee conducted a review based on the contents suggested by the Party Central Committee Secretariat and members of the working delegation. This afternoon, the 2017 self-criticism and criticism review conference of the Provincial Party Standing Committee continued to work.
