This is an important forum for Cua Lo youth to demonstrate their spirit of solidarity, creativity, and express their aspirations and determination to contribute their youth and intelligence to the cause of building Cua Lo Town into a rich, beautiful, and civilized coastal tourist city.

Comrade Vo Minh Vy - Secretary of the Town Youth Union said: During the past term, Party committees at all levels, the government and political and social organizations in the whole town regularly paid attention to the work of educating and nurturing the young generation. Along with the work of building a generation of patriotic youth, with revolutionary ideals, and a beautiful lifestyle with many forums such as: "Keeping the tradition alive forever at the age of twenty", the contest "Propaganda for one hundred years of Cua Lo tourism", organizing for cadres and young union members to participate in the "Return to the source" programs to visit historical sites, the "Youth with the glorious Party" exchange sessions on February 3, the Candlelighting Ceremony (July 27)... The Town Youth Union Standing Committee has carried out 2 movements "5 shockwaves in socio-economic development and national defense"; "4 accompaniment with young people to establish their careers". The movement "5 shock waves for socio-economic development and national defense" has developed strongly, the content of activities has been innovated, meeting the needs of dedication and self-affirmation of the town's youth.

During the past term, the City Youth Union Executive Committee focused on directing the Youth Union bases to continue to effectively implement Resolution 01 of the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee on "Youth Union participating in economic development", propagating to the rural youth union members to build and develop economic models, go abroad to work, and proactively seek jobs; the urban youth union members and civil servants continued to carry out the "Young Creativity" movement well in conjunction with promoting the emulation movement to study, improve advisory capacity, professional qualifications, skills, effectively apply information technology to work, build a civilized office model, a one-stop center model; the school youth union competed in teaching and learning, built initiatives, experiences, and topics. As a result, the entire City Youth Union has built 23 youth economic models, including 5 new models, with more than 10,000 youths going to work far away and go abroad to work.

In addition, the volunteer movement for community life has developed strongly and has a great influence, attracting a large number of young people to actively participate. Volunteer activities during the peak period of Youth Month, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Exam Support... have affirmed the role, organizational capacity, and initiative of young people, participating in solving community difficulties such as: preventing social evils, maintaining traffic order and safety, taking care of and helping policy families, donating blood... Those meaningful and practical volunteer activities have created trust in the people about young people, contributing to strengthening the Youth Union - Association - Team organization in localities. In the past term, the whole town has established 26 Young People's Teams, organized 78 campaigns, undertaken 301 youth projects and tasks worth over 1.7 billion VND, attracting thousands of young people to participate.

During the term, the entire town organized 61 career guidance sessions and job counseling for 4,200 young union members. At the same time, the Youth Union at all levels encouraged and mobilized young people to proactively create jobs, help each other start a business, and contribute capital for production and business. Some Youth Union units proactively coordinated with enterprises and job introduction centers to organize job counseling and labor export for 3,050 young union members. During the past term, 1,670 young union members had stable jobs in the area. Activities of transferring science and technology, supporting and helping young people borrow capital for economic production received special attention from Youth Union at all levels in the whole town. The Town Youth Union Executive Committee coordinated with the Town Social Policy Bank to organize 2 training courses on borrowing and capital management for more than 200 Youth Union officials and during the term, 1.3 billion VND was disbursed to young union members to borrow capital for economic production; Coordinated with the Town Agricultural Extension Center to organize 2 training courses on commercial snakehead fish farming for more than 300 youth union members.

Although there are still shortcomings and limitations in some areas, in general, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of Cua Lo Town in the 2007-2012 term has made positive progress, achieving many outstanding results. The Youth Union's programs have attracted a large number of young union members, promoting their pioneering role, participating in socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, consolidating national security and defense, maintaining social order and safety, accompanying young people in establishing their careers, volunteering for community life; actively caring for and nurturing the younger generation, teenagers and children. The solidarity front, gathering young people has been expanded. Young union members actively and effectively participate in Party and government building work and in socio-economic development, national defense and security, and have been recognized and rewarded by the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union.

That result has created an important driving force and premise to strengthen the work of solidarity, gathering youth, consolidating and building the Youth Union and Association organizations and strongly developing the youth movement in the coming time. "In the 2012 - 2017 term, the Youth Union and youth movement in Cua Lo Town have many opportunities and advantages, but also many difficulties and challenges, requiring cadres and young union members in the whole town to be determined to unite and make efforts to successfully carry out political tasks in the new period, build a strong Youth Union organization in all three aspects: politics, ideology and organization; strive to build the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Cua Lo Town as an outstanding and typical unit of Nghe An province."
