Coins and stamps commemorating the US-North Korea summit released one after another
On the occasion of Hanoi hosting the second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean Chairman Kim Jong-un, the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a set of souvenir stamps.
Vietnam's stamp set for the US-North Korea summit features a stylized drawing of the firm handshake between the US and North Korean leaders, against a background of green bamboo - a symbol of Vietnam's peace and friendliness.

In addition, the stamp also depicts the Vietnamese flag and the words "Partnership for Sustainable Peace", to affirm Vietnam's ability to organize major international events, as well as its responsibility for world peace. On the lower left side of the stamp is an image of Khue Van Cac, a symbol of Hanoi.
Released on February 26, this stamp set is expected to convey the message "Vietnam - a safe and friendly destination" and "Hanoi - a city for peace" to friends and the international community.
The stamp set includes a sample with a face value of 4,000 VND, size 43x32mm, and a stamp block size 222x114mm.
Before the above stamp set was announced, the Vietnam Stamp Company said it would issue a "World Peace" coin, made from pure silver, to commemorate the US-North Korea summit.
