Today, the Japanese Yen exchange rate weakened, showing no signs of recovery, while the black market Yen exchange rate continued to increase.
Japanese Yen exchange rate on the morning of April 18, 2024 at banks is as follows:
At Vietcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate is 158.53 VND/JPY for buying and 167.79 VND/JPY for selling, up 0.06 VND for buying and selling.

At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.82 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 160.24 VND/JPY and 169.94 VND/JPY.
At BIDV, the buying rate increased by 0.4 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.12 VND, reaching 159.35 VND/JPY and 167.3 VND/JPY, respectively.
At Eximbank, the buying price increased by 0.71 VND and the selling price increased by 0.81 VND, respectively at 161.3 VND/JPY and 166.34 VND/JPY.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.89 VND at buying and 0.91 VND at selling with prices of 157.79 VND/JPY and 170.25 VND/JPY respectively.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.93 VND in buying and increased by 0.9 VND in selling, corresponding to the prices of 162.51 VND/JPY and 167.54 VND/JPY.
According to the survey, today Sacombank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Eximbank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.

The central VND/USD exchange rate today (April 18) was announced by the State Bank to be adjusted to 24,231 VND/USD, an increase of 90 VND compared to the trading session on April 17.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,392 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,392 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 25,100 and a selling price of 25,440, an increase of 122 VND compared to the trading session on April 17. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 24,000 - 25,500 VND/USD.
In the world market, the Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 105.96 points - down 0.28% compared to the transaction on April 17.

Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 71.186 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 10.914 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
