In recent years, Que Phong district has received attention from the Central and the province, investing in building infrastructure, socio-economic development, creating a new face for the highland region. However, for the district to develop sustainably in terms of economy, investing in basic construction... is still not enough, the equally important goal that Que Phong always focuses on is investing in education, there needs to be a fundamental, comprehensive change in education and training in a substantial way.
Recognizing this importance, in recent years, under the attention, leadership and direction of the district Party Committee, People's Committee, Party committees at all levels, authorities; the attention of departments, branches, organizations and the whole society, the education and training career of Que Phong district has had many changes. Currently, the whole district has 63 educational institutions, including 14 kindergartens, 18 primary schools, 10 secondary schools, 4 junior high schools, 1 high school, 1 continuing education center, 1 ethnic minority secondary school and 14 community learning centers. The school system in the district basically meets the needs of education and training; mobilizes school-age children to go to school; reduces the rate of dropouts, students sitting in the wrong class...

In particular, in recent years, the teaching and learning emulation movements have been promoted by the district's education sector in conjunction with improving the quality of education; solutions for teaching Vietnamese to ethnic minority students and arranging combined classes at special schools have been enhanced; extracurricular activities, encouraging learning, encouraging talents, and socializing education have been well organized...
Thanks to that, the rate of good teachers and good students at all levels; the rate of students passing the secondary and high school graduation exams is increasing; the rate of national standard schools is good (24 schools, reaching 50%)... Especially, in the 2015 - 2016 school year, with the efforts and striving to excellently complete the assigned tasks, many collectives and individuals of the Education sector of Que Phong district have achieved remarkable achievements. Among them, 1 collective and 2 individuals were proposed to be awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training; 1 collective was proposed to be awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee; 822 individuals achieved the title of Advanced Laborer; 115 individuals achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level...

From the achievements, implementing the Resolution of the 21st Que Phong District Party Congress for the 2015 - 2020 term, the People's Committee of Que Phong District has developed the Project: "Improving the comprehensive quality of education in Que Phong District for the period 2015 - 2020". Accordingly, the district aims to create fundamental and comprehensive changes in the quality and effectiveness of education, increasingly better meeting the socio-economic development of the district and the increasing learning needs of the people.
Along with that, the district strives to build the Education and Training sector corresponding to the general educational development of the province. Focus on improving the quality of comprehensive and key education. Ensure social equity in education. Ensure conditions for improving quality, standardizing, modernizing, and socializing the education system, striving by 2020, Que Phong will rise to rank 16-17 in the province's education.

To implement the project, Que Phong district has developed roadmaps and assigned tasks to relevant units for implementation. In particular, focusing on the following tasks: Improving the quality of teachers and educational managers to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation; consolidating and improving the quality of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, striving to achieve universal primary education level 3 and universal secondary education level 2 by 2020.
Particularly for preschool children, it is necessary to focus on physical development, preparing them well for entering grade 1. 100% of communes and towns must complete universal preschool education for 5-year-old children by 2017. Increase the rate of mobilizing children of nursery age to attend school to 18% by 2020; the number of children aged 3 to 5 attending kindergarten will reach 90% by 2020, of which 99.5% of 5-year-old children will be mobilized to attend school. Reduce the rate of malnourished children in preschools in the form of underweight and stunted growth to below 8% by 2020.

Strive to have the literacy rate of people aged 15 and over reach 98.0% by 2020, of which the literacy rate of people aged 15 to 35 is 99.0%. 50% of community learning centers are classified as A, 20% of communes, wards, towns and agencies and enterprises are recognized as learning units; Repair and upgrade ethnic minority boarding schools; complete the construction of Que Phong Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School; focus on investing in building schools and classrooms, strive to solidify all classrooms by 2020, invest in building boarding houses for foster parents; consolidate and develop community learning centers and learning promotion associations; develop support policies so that Mong and Kho Mu children have the best learning conditions; strive to have the rate of students participating in high school reach 70%.
