Breakthrough in attracting investment in Do Luong

(Baonghean) - Mobilizing all resources to attract investment capital, especially non-budgetary capital to implement projects in the area, is identified by Do Luong district as one of the breakthrough solutions for socio-economic development to successfully implement the Resolution of the 20th District Party Congress, term 2015 - 2020.

Many key projects

In recent years, with the efforts of the entire political system and the attention of the province, investment attraction activities have created a shift in economic structure towards increasing the proportion of industry, handicrafts and trade - services of Do Luong district.

Some notable projects include: Foreign-invested garment factory in Lac Son Industrial Cluster, Song Lam Cement Factory in Bai Son Commune. The district is actively coordinating with investors to implement projects such as: Minh Anh garment factory in Quang Son Commune, Commercial center combined with traditional market in Yen Son Commune and Hai An Cooperative town, High-tech livestock complex in My Son Commune...

One of the projects that the district is focusing on implementing is the Minh Anh Garment Factory Project with the largest scale in the North Central region. Currently, the factory is providing free vocational training for more than 550 workers, from which it will produce diverse garment products, serving the domestic market and exporting to demanding markets such as the US and Europe. If the factory comes into operation, it will create jobs for 6,000 - 7,000 workers not only in Do Luong district but also in neighboring districts such as Yen Thanh, Anh Son, Thanh Chuong. At the same time, it is a driving force for socio-economic development, bringing along accompanying services and promoting the advantages of the strategic route N5.

Mr. Le Van Vinh - Secretary of the Quang Son Commune Party Committee excitedly said: When there was information that the Minh Anh Garment Factory Project would be implemented in the locality, the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Son were highly unanimous, creating all conditions for the project to come into operation soon. The project coming into operation will be a breakthrough, creating a new look for Quang Son to transform the economic structure, create jobs for workers, and improve the lives of the people. When the factory comes into operation, it will attract laborers from many localities working in industrial parks in the North, the South and abroad. People hope that the government will quickly resolve the procedures and soon put the project into operation.

Maximum support for investors

In the past time, the People's Committee of Do Luong district has issued an action program to effectively implement the Resolution of the Party Congress at all levels. In particular, attracting investment for industrial development is identified as an important breakthrough. Accordingly, the district continues to consolidate and upgrade existing industrial clusters and craft villages; attract investment to develop industrial and handicraft production facilities and industrial clusters in the district.

At the same time, planning and constructing Hoa Son industrial clusters (Hoa Son commune), scale of 10 hectares; Dai Son industrial cluster (Dai Son commune), scale of 10 hectares; Deploying tourism and resort services in Giang Son, scale of 6 hectares; Thuong Son industrial cluster (new location), scale of 9 hectares linked to traffic axes on National Highway 7, National Highway 46, National Highway 15, N5 road connecting the coastal plain and mountainous areas to attract investment projects operating in the fields of production, business, creating jobs for workers.

The district is implementing the policy of creating all favorable conditions for businesses to invest in the area with specific solutions such as: Taking advantage of the support policies of the Central and the province on attracting investment; focusing on creating land funds, premises and infrastructure for businesses to feel secure in investing; strengthening propaganda, creating consensus among cadres, party members and people on policies and strategies to attract investment.

Recently, the district has proposed the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and branches to increase the level of support for investment in building infrastructure for local industrial clusters, consider investing in some key traffic routes, and facilitate investment projects in the area. In particular, the district has just established 5 working groups for 5 major projects being implemented in the area: Minh Anh Garment Factory Project in Quang Son Commune; Sports - Cultural Service Center Project in Dong Son Commune; Trade Center Project combined with traditional market in Yen Son Town and Commune; Nam Do Luong Town Urban Area and the road connecting National Highway 46 to National Highway 7 (Thinh Son) and High-tech Livestock Area Project in My Son Commune. The district has assigned specific responsibilities to departments, branches and communes to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for investors.

Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam - Chairman of Do Luong District People's Committee said: In the coming time, Do Luong District will continue to encourage businesses to invest with specific support mechanisms and policies. At the same time, publicize the planning of industrial parks and clusters; land use planning for businesses to choose locations suitable for their industries, investment projects in production and business and enjoy preferential support policies of the province and district; create land funds, premises and infrastructure for businesses to feel secure in investing; continue to support and create conditions for businesses that have invested in the area to develop and expand production scale, creating more jobs for workers.
