DPA officially corrects information about General Phung Quang Thanh

On July 25, German news agency DPA reported from Hanoi that Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh had returned to Vietnam after receiving medical treatment in France, thereby officially denying the false news that the agency had published a few days ago about the General's health.

"The minister returned to Hanoi from Paris this morning on a Vietnam Airlines flight. He left the airport and went straight to his office to get to work," DPA quoted Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

In the news, DPA also said that a few days ago they had accidentally given incorrect information about General Phung Quang Thanh's health condition during his treatment in Paris, due to "quoting a source from the hospital."

As reported, on the morning of July 25, Minister of National Defense, General Phung Quang Thanh returned to Hanoi in completely stable health condition.
