Vietnam Women's Team 1-2 Thailand: Slipping Before World Cup
Playing tightly in the first half and the last 20 minutes were fiery with a super goal from Tuyet Dung, but that was not enough for the Vietnamese women's team to realize their World Cup goal when they lost 1-2 to Thailand - the team that won the last Asian spot to go to Canada next year.

GOAL
Vietnam women's team:Tuyet Dung (86')
Thailand women's team:Kanjana Sungngoen (48' & 65')
DEFENDING IN NUMBERS, SUCCESSFUL IN THE FIRST HALF
The Vietnamese women's team is loyal to the defensive counter-attacking style of play and puts its hope in lightning-fast counter-attacks with the experience of Minh Nguyet and the strength of Thanh Huong. Coach Tran Van Phat applied the 5-3-2 tactical formation for the Vietnamese women's team in the play-off match with Thailand and the arrangement of a large defensive system helps the red-shirted players cover each other very well.
In the entire first half, the Vietnamese women's team only won one corner kick and two shots on goal. The Thai team also only created dangerous situations, but could not score goals, although they had more possession of the ball, created more opportunities but were stuck in finding a way into goalkeeper Kieu Trinh's goal.
SUPER PRODUCT OF TUYET DUNG AND ASSASSIN SUNGNGOEN
It has become a style, Thailand always rushed to attack in the second half in all 3 matches at the final round of the Asian Women's Championship this year and that tactic worked well in the match against the Vietnamese women's team. In the 48th minute, Kanjana Sungngoen broke through 3 Vietnamese defenders before coldly swooping down to defeat Kieu Trinh, opening the score for Thailand.

Having conceded the first goal, the Vietnamese women's team had to attack and accept the risk from the opponent's counter-attacks. Coach Tran Van Phat made a surprising decision when he took captain Le Thi Thuong off and replaced her with Tuyet Dung - a player with good finishing ability, especially powerful from long-range shots. In the 60th minute, from Tuyet Dung's difficult pass, Thanh Huong quickly took the ball from the opponent's failed control, but in the final shot, the Vietnamese striker could not beat goalkeeper Boonsing.
But before our change could take effect, Thailand scored their second goal. In the 65th minute, from a move up the right flank, Kanjana Sungngoen's cross was a mistake but it unexpectedly turned into a tricky shot into the net of the Vietnamese women's team, despite goalkeeper Kieu Trinh's best efforts to block it. Continuing to attack, in the 72nd minute, Minh Nguyet danced in the circle of 4 blue shirts before finishing decisively but could not defeat goalkeeper Waraporn Boonsing.
In the 86th minute, the Vietnamese women's team reduced the score to 1-2 when Tuyet Dung made an extremely classy shot with her left foot, the ball drew a perfect curve in the air before flying into the dead corner. With Tuyet Dung's masterpiece, Vietnam's World Cup hope was reborn. In the 90th minute, Nguyen Thi Nhung broke through on the left wing and shot, the ball cut across the goal, missing the opportunity to equalize for our girls. Thailand won the final match 2-1 and took the last ticket of Asia to the 2015 World Cup.
