Because it was a test match to assemble the team, Coach Miura arranged his players to play in a 4-4-2 formation in the first half. With this familiar formation, the young players of the Vietnam Olympic team played very smoothly and controlled the game throughout the first half against an opponent Bangladesh who was not much inferior in terms of physique and expertise.

In the 12th minute, taking advantage of a gap in the opponent's defense, Quach Tan passed the ball to Hong Quan, who passed it past the opponent's goalkeeper, opening the score 1-0 for Olympic Vietnam.

In the 24th minute, Bangladesh's defense fouled Huu Khoi in the penalty area, the Korean referee awarded the Vietnamese Olympic team a penalty and Hoang Thinh raised the score to 2-0.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh's strikers were so poor that they almost had no dangerous shots towards goalkeeper Van Cong's goal.

In the second half, Coach Miura switched to a 3-5-2 formation and changed the entire lineup, keeping only Hoang Thinh and Ngoc Thang in the midfield. With this change, the play of the Vietnamese Olympic team was quite inconsistent, but Hoang Thinh still managed to raise the score to 3-0 in the 55th minute from Phi Son's pass.

But then, the defense of Olympic Vietnam with 3 players revealed gaps, and Bangladesh's number 11 player scored to shorten the score to 1-3 in the 62nd minute.

By the 75th minute, the score was reduced to 2-3 by the opposing team's player number 18 in the 74th minute, taking advantage of the lack of coordination between Mr. Miura's players. However, after that, the young players of Vietnam regained control of the game and continued to dominate.

In the 88th minute, Phi Son had a beautiful pass to Van Thanh to raise the score to 4-2 and this was also the final result of the match.
