(Baonghean.vn) - At 6:00 p.m. today, the Vietnam National Team had its final training session before the Malaysia - Vietnam first leg final match of the AFF Cup 2018 taking place tomorrow, December 11.
The training session is expected to last for an hour and the starting lineup may be decided today. The weather in Kuala Lumpur is usually sunny from morning to noon, and it often rains in the evening. Today it rained quite heavily.
This is the first time in Malaysia that the Vietnam team has had to practice on a slippery, wet pitch. Therefore, the training session to get used to Bukit Zalil is very important, especially for the U23 Vietnam players who have never been here as guests.
According to Malaysian reporters, it is likely that the Vietnam team will have to face the home team in heavy rain. Meanwhile, the home team Malaysia had only one training session this morning.
Regarding the force situation, the Vietnam National Team has almost the best preparation. Striker Van Toan has practiced with the whole team after a few separate training sessions to regain his fitness, but according to Nghe An Newspaper reporters' observations, the HAGL player only warmed up with his teammates and has not returned to the main tactical training plan.
Right-back Trong Hoang has had his training intensity reduced in recent days after showing signs of being overloaded from playing all the time since the beginning of the tournament. Midfielder Do Hung Dung has also fully recovered and is expected to start alongside Duc Huy.

While his teammates were practicing hard, Van Toan was only warming up. It is likely that Van Toan will not be able to play in tomorrow's match. Coach Park is closely monitoring the HAGL striker's condition. Photo: Trung Kien
Vietnamese reporters were only allowed to work for nearly 15 minutes, after which the Vietnamese team practiced behind closed doors as per regulations. Photo: Trung Kien
