Coach Park Hang-seo becomes Vice President of the Korean Football Federation
The Korea Football Association (KFA) has just officially announced its new leadership team, in which former head coach of the Vietnam national team - Mr. Park Hang-seo was appointed to the position of Vice President.
According to the official announcement from the KFA, Mr. Park Hang-seo will take on the role of Vice President of the Federation. This is a step that demonstrates innovation in the management approach of Korean football, when bringing experienced international faces into the senior leadership team.
After leaving the Vietnam national team in early 2023, coach Park Hang-seo returned to Korea and mainly spent time with his family, participated in community activities and acted as an advisor in a number of youth football development projects. Although he is no longer directly in charge, he still maintains close ties with regional football and is respected by both experts and fans.
Before taking on his new role at KFA, Mr. Park Hang-seo had become a special icon in the hearts of Vietnamese fans. Under his leadership from 2017 to 2023, Vietnamese football entered a golden period with a series of impressive achievements: Runner-up of the 2018 AFC U23 Championship, Champion of the 2018 AFF Cup, reaching the quarter-finals of the 2019 Asian Cup, and for the first time in history entering the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia.
Not only bringing achievements, Mr. Park also contributed to raising the position of Vietnamese football on the continental football map. He is known for his disciplined but close coaching style, strong ability to inspire and always put the human factor first.
Mr. Park Hang-seo's appointment as Vice President of KFA is expected to bring a breath of fresh air to football management and development in Korea.
