Weather forecast August 31: Heavy rain continues over a wide area

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the low-lying area (causing heavy rain) has moved to the northeastern coastal area, so rain is decreasing rapidly in the northern mountainous provinces and the northwestern provinces.

It is forecasted that the Southern Delta, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and North Central regions will continue to have rain, moderate rain, heavy rain to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. The rain in these areas will last until around September 2 with total rainfall ranging from 40 - 70mm, in some places over 150mm.

In addition, due to the influence of the low pressure area, the Gulf of Tonkin (including the island districts of Bach Long Vi, Co To, Van Don, Cat Hai) has thunderstorms with tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7-8, rough seas.
