To implement the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term, the Provincial Election Committee has issued many documents directing and guiding the implementation of preparation steps on schedule, in accordance with the law and ensuring quality.

Based on the assignment of responsibility for each task and each locality, members of the Election Committee have proactively followed the requirements to implement; at the same time, established inspection teams and groups to promptly detect and remedy limitations and shortcomings at the grassroots level.

Propaganda work has been promoted in many forms, creating positive responses and becoming a widespread political activity throughout the Party and people.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial Election Committee raised a number of issues that localities need to pay attention to and learn from through inspections. Among them, it is necessary to review the posting of voter lists; lists of candidates for the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels in accordance with regulations.

For areas with large voter movements such as areas with workers working far away, coastal communes with voters participating in offshore fishing, ethnic minorities working in the fields...; localities need to pay attention to propaganda so that voters understand their rights to be present to participate in the election.

Propaganda work on billboards, posters, slogans, and red flags with yellow stars should be deployed widely and evenly, avoiding focusing only on the centers. The issue of election funding should be prioritized for the election teams.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee emphasized: Members of the Provincial Election Committee continue to strengthen inspection, including on election day; pay attention to organizing training, providing professional guidance as well as forecasting possible situations so that the election teams can be proactive and have flexible measures in handling.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong also requested that sectors and localities step up propaganda work in various forms and means and increase the frequency and duration according to the work schedule. Pay attention to ensuring security, order and absolute safety for election day.

For the Department of Home Affairs - the standing agency of the Provincial Election Committee, it is necessary to assign officers and specialists to be on duty regularly to grasp and implement the timely information reporting regime during the election process.
