The video of Vietnamese students studying abroad around the world wishing a Happy New Year 2016 was made by the group of overseas students Tv and hundreds of Vietnamese students in 20 countries such as France, Japan, Russia, Morocco, Hungary... In each place, overseas students have different ways of expressing themselves. The humorous group reads poetry, the group sings with the zither, the group wears Ao Dai, the group is bright with red flags and yellow stars and wishes for good health.
"During Tet away from home, we international students can only send greetings expressing our gratitude to our homeland, family, and friends. This is also a way for Vietnamese people to introduce traditional culture to international friends, and at the same time, to get closer to each other to ease the sadness of being far away from home," said project leader Nguyen Ha Duy (Astrakhan State University, Russia).
The Tet greeting video was made by the international students in a month. Each student community in each country will film their own video. Since most of the international students are taking their final exams, arranging time to film together, according to Ha Duy, is the most difficult part. In many countries, students even filmed the video in -13 degrees Celsius weather.

"The day we went to film, the temperature outside was -13 degrees Celsius, and it was snowing continuously. People stood around clapping and calling us superheroes because it was so cold and we were only wearing thin ao dai. Despite the harsh weather, the whole group was still excited to send meaningful wishes to their homeland," said Hai Anh, representative of the Vietnamese Students Association in the Czech Republic.

Hoang Kim Hoan, the only Vietnamese student in Serbia, wanted to participate in the project so much that he invited his international friends to hang a large red flag with a yellow star and say wishes to Vietnam in unison.
While filming a video wishing his homeland a happy new year, Dao Manh Hoan, an architecture student in Germany, also did charity work. For each "happy new year" greeting, homeless people will receive 10 Euros from this student.
The project of overseas students wishing Vietnamese people a happy new year has been implemented for 4 years and each year attracts more and more young Vietnamese students around the world.
