High School Graduation Exam Round 2 is expected from August 5 - 7
The Ministry of Education and Training plans that the second round of the High School Graduation Exam will take place from August 5 to 7, 2021. On August 5, candidates will complete exam registration procedures, and take exams on the remaining two days.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, in the first round of exams in 2021, there were 981,773 candidates taking the exam.
As of July 13, there were more than 26,000 candidates in 42 provinces and cities who had not taken the first round of the exam but wished to take the second round of the High School Graduation Exam this year. These candidates are F0, F1, F2 candidates and candidates in quarantined and locked-down areas due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

After listening to the opinions of the Departments, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Huu Do said that the second round of the High School Graduation Exam is expected to take place from August 5 to 7, 2021. On August 5, candidates will complete the exam registration procedures.
Regarding the organization, each Department of Education and Training establishes an examination council to organize the exam in the area. However, localities with a small number of candidates registering for the exam can send candidates to take the exam at the examination council of a neighboring province or city.
The Ministry will consider supporting the printing and copying of exam papers for Departments of Education and Training with few candidates registering for the exam; at the same time, there will be specific instructions on organizing the second round of exams.
This is the time frame given for the Departments of Education and Training to consult the Provincial People's Committees, based on the epidemic situation of the province or city. Then, it will be proposed to the Ministry of Education and Training for consensus.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do requested that the Departments of Education and Training, based on the actual situation of the Covid-19 epidemic and the number of candidates registered for the second round of exams in the localities, seek opinions from provincial and city leaders on the exam organization plan with the determination to ensure the highest safety for candidates.
