Sending youth volunteers to 6 outpost islands of the Fatherland
The responsibility of young people is to survey and determine the content and topics to participate in developing the marine economy.
Today (June 3), in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a press conference to introduce this year's summer youth volunteer campaign with the theme "Youth join hands to build new countryside".
This year's summer youth volunteer campaign focuses on organizing youth volunteer teams to the Northwestern, Central Highlands, and Southwestern provinces, disadvantaged localities, key communes in new rural construction, and outpost islands of the Fatherland to promote the pioneering and volunteer role of youth in socio-economic development.

The launching ceremony of the 2014 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign will be held on June 6 at Hai Phong City Theater Square.
At the press conference, Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association, said that the new feature of this year's summer youth volunteer campaign is to bring student volunteers to 6 outpost islands of the Fatherland. Here, students participate in building the national flagpole, propose initiatives to help young people do business on the islands, and help fishermen fish offshore.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Phong, the responsibility of the young people is to survey and determine the content and topic of their project to participate in developing the marine economy. Right after the launching ceremony, young people from Hanoi National University will go to Bach Long Vy Island. The goal from now until the end of the year is to have a basic outline, so that by next year's summer volunteer campaign, there will be many models applied./.
