Assessing the overall quality of the competition, Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung, head of the refereeing committee, said: “This year’s competition was a great success. In general, the teams in this year’s tournament all had good professional quality, and the team members competed fiercely and with all their heart. However, because this was the first time participating in a professional tournament, in some of the tests, the players were still unfamiliar and had low discipline.”

The teams competed in the following vehicle categories: over 3,000cc (over 4 cylinders), 2,000 - 3,000cc (4 cylinders), under 2,000cc (4 cylinders). As an off-road sport, in this year's competition, the teams had to go through 6 tests with many different types of terrain from mud roads, wading, crossing holes, climbing slopes... Each test has a maximum score of 100 and is deducted gradually according to the errors and results that the teams achieved.
