Germany: Nearly 1,000 airport security staff on strike
According to AFP, airport security staff in Germany went on strike on December 10 due to dissatisfaction with wages, leading to chaos at several airports.
Frankfurt airport union Verdi said about 1,000 security staff went on strike at airports including Berlin and Frankfurt - Europe's third busiest - although some later returned to work.
It is not yet clear how much impact the strike will have on flights, which were already affected by heavy snowfall in parts of Germany.
The Verdi union launched the strike in connection with salary negotiations for 15,000 security staff at German airports./.
