Using fake gun to rob 100 million dong in market
On the afternoon of October 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department announced that the city's police forces had coordinated to investigate and quickly arrest a suspect who used a fake gun to rob property at Binh Dien market.
Previously, early in the morning of October 27, the Criminal Police Department, the Mobile Police Department and Binh Dong Ward Police in coordination with professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police controlled and arrested Tran Minh Tan (born in 1990, residing in Dong Thap province) for robbery at Binh Dien market area.

At around 4am the same day, Tan pretended to go into a stall at Binh Dien market to buy goods, then suddenly snatched a bag containing about 100 million VND from the stall owner and ran away. When the stall owner shouted and chased him, the subject pulled out a gun-like object to threaten him, but with the cooperation of many peoplepursuitSo the subject threw away the bag of money and fled to a nearby vacant lot.
Immediately after receiving the report, Binh Dong Ward Police mobilized forces and coordinated with the Criminal Police Department and the Mobile Police Department to surround and arrest the subject. At about 9:20 a.m. the same day, the police force arrested Tran Minh Tan at an empty lot next to Binh Dien market.

During the inspection, the police seized 1 motorbike, 1 toy gun and 1 knife.
Working with the police, Tan confessed to the robbery, saying that he had the idea to rob because he was short of money. Before committing the crime, Tan brought a knife and a fake gun from home, drove to Binh Dien market to find a careless merchant to rob.
