Nghe An police are hunting dozens of teenagers who caused public disorder and used weapons to fight each other at night.
Due to conflicts and challenges on social networks, many groups of young people gathered with weapons, drove motorbikes, disturbed public order and got into fights, leaving serious consequences. Faced with complicated developments, the police force promptly intervened, verified and arrested dozens of related subjects to handle according to the law.
47 people were summoned for making an appointment to fight.
On the evening of October 18, following an online challenge, two groups of teenagers, totaling 47 people, made an appointment to meet in Tan Ky commune to "resolve the conflict".
The first group consisted of 13 people, aged 16 to 18, residing in Do Luong, Van Hien, Bach Ha communes (old Do Luong district), carrying homemade knives, glass beer bottles and a sword. The remaining group consisted of 34 people, aged 14 to 19, from Tien Dong, Tan Ky, Tan An, Nghia Hanh communes (old Tan Ky district), traveling on 17 motorbikes and carrying baseball bats, swords, crossbows, iron balls and batons...
Both groups drove motorbikes without helmets, revved their engines, swerved, honked loudly, and carried weapons while traveling at high speed on the road, causing chaos in the area and seriously affecting security and order.
Upon receiving the report, Tan Ky Commune Police presided over and coordinated with the Police of neighboring communes and Team 373 to deploy forces to pursue and arrest. By October 20, the police had summoned and arrested 47 related subjects; of which 24 subjects were detained for further investigation and handling according to the law.
A male student had his arm severed in a brawl early this morning.
Then, in the early morning of October 19, another serious fight between two groups of teenagers occurred in Tien Phong commune, causing one victim to have his left hand severed.
Through verification by the authorities, the first group of 10 middle and high school students, who regularly gather, used 4 motorbikes and beer bottles to attack the remaining group. The second group of 12 unemployed youths, who showed signs of gathering to cause trouble, brought 3 swords, 2 slingshots and 4 motorbikes.
The two groups used homemade weapons such as beer bottles, knives, and slingshots to attack and stab each other while driving motorbikes at high speed, weaving and revving their engines. As a result, male student LQL (born in 2009, residing in Phuong Tien 2 village, Tien Phong commune) had his left hand severed and had to be transferred from Que Phong Medical Center to Nghe An Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital for treatment.
Because the incident occurred in the early morning, few people witnessed it, and the suspects turned off their phones and left the area, causing many difficulties for the investigation. However, under the strong direction of the Provincial Police, Que Phong Commune Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (PC02) and Tien Phong Commune Police to synchronously deploy professional measures, quickly arresting all related subjects.
At the police station, the suspects admitted to their crimes. The case is currently under further investigation.
