Medicinal food for treating bronchitis

According to Oriental medicine,bronchitisbelongs to the category of cough and phlegm. The cause is due to external factors such as wind-cold, wind-heat and dryness.
Some remedies for bronchitis according to each type of disease:
Acute bronchitis:Usually caused by wind cold, wind heat and dryness.
Due to cold:Occurs in the early stages of acute bronchitis. The patient coughs up thin, white phlegm that is easy to expectorate, has a fever, chills, headache, runny nose, itchy throat, hoarseness, thin white tongue coating, and a floating pulse. Treatment is to disperse cold and clear the lungs. Use one of the following prescriptions:
Lesson 1: 12g perilla, 10g chives, 6g tangerine peel, 10g Vietnamese balm, 6g ligusticum wallichii, 8g angelica root, 8g Chinese angelica root. Boil and drink 1 dose per day.
Lesson 2:Hanh to powder: 10g almonds, 10g perilla leaves, 10g Chinese clematis root, 6g processed pinellia, 6g Chinese clematis root, 3 slices of ginger, 4g tangerine peel, 6g poria, 6g licorice, 8g platycodon, 4 jujubes. Grind all ingredients into powder and take 15-20g per day, divided into 2 times.
Due to wind heat:Occurs in acute bronchitis and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis. The patient coughs, coughs up a lot of yellow, sticky white phlegm, has a dry, painful throat, fever, headache, fear of wind, thin yellow tongue coating, and a floating, rapid pulse. Treatment is to clear wind, clear heat, and clear the lungs. Use one of the following prescriptions:
Lesson 1:Modified Tang Hanh Decoction: 12g mulberry leaf, 8g almond, 8g Qian Hu, 8g Gardenia fruit, 4g Fritillaria cirrhosa, 8g Chinese clematis root, 8g mulberry bark, 6g licorice. Decoct and drink 1 dose per day.
Lesson 2:Modified Tang Cu Am: mulberry leaves, chrysanthemum flowers, forsythia, burdock seeds, almonds, and Chinese clematis (each 12g); mint 6g; Platycodon grandiflorum 8g; and licorice 4g. Boil and drink one dose per day. If there is a lot of yellow, sticky phlegm accompanied by fever, remove mulberry leaves, chrysanthemum flowers, mint, and burdock; add 12g of Scutellaria baicalensis and 20-40g of Acanthopanax.
Due to gas:Occurs in acute bronchitis in dry weather. The patient has a dry cough, itchy throat, dry mouth and throat, headache, and a floating and rapid pulse. Treatment is to moisten the lungs and relieve cough. Use one of the following formulas:
Lesson 1: white mulberry bark, ophiopogon japonicus, bamboo leaves, Chinese yam, asparagus root, Chinese yam (each 12g); chives 8g; Chinese yam 16g. Boil and drink 1 dose per day.
Lesson 2:Thanh tao cuu phe thang: 12g mulberry leaves, 12g gypsum, 16g licorice, 12g ophiopogon, 12g loquat leaves, 8g almonds, 4g ginger, 8g turtle glue, 16g codonopsis. Boil and drink 1 dose per day.
Chronic bronchitis:divided into 2 types: phlegm and dampness.
Phlegm-dampness syndrome: The patient has recurrent coughs, coughs a lot in cold weather and in the morning, phlegm is easy to cough up, thin white or sticky, the abdomen is full and distended, poor appetite, sticky white tongue coating, and a thin pulse. Treatment is to dry dampness, transform phlegm, and stop coughing. Use one of the following formulas:
Lesson 1:10g roasted tangerine peel, 10g roasted guava bark, 10g white mustard seeds, 8g processed pinellia ternata, 8g licorice root, 4g ginger. Boil and drink 1 dose per day.
Lesson 2:Modified Er Chen Decoction: 10g tangerine peel, 8g processed pinellia, 10g poria, 10g licorice, 12g almonds, 8g atractylodes, 12g white atractylodes. Boil and drink 1 dose per day. If there is a lot of phlegm, add 8g white mustard seed; if there is chest tightness, add 12g of Chinese clematis.
Cold and damp body:Often seen in patients with chronic bronchitis accompanied by bronchiectasis in the elderly, people with reduced respiratory function, chronic cor pulmonale. Patients have recurrent cough, difficulty breathing, increased cough in cold weather, much thin white sputum, after exercise, the above symptoms are worse, patients cannot lie down, are afraid of cold, have smooth white tongue coating, thin and weak pulse.
Treatment is to warm the lungs and transform phlegm. Use the following prescription: 6g ephedra, 6g cinnamon, 4g ginger, 4g asarum, 6g schisandra, 8g processed pinellia, 4g licorice, 4g white peony. Boil and drink 1 dose per day. If the cough is severe, add 12g of Chinese clematis root and 8g of fritillary flower. If there is a lot of moss stagnation, add 12g of Chinese clematis root.
