Opening the Vinh - Bangkok flight route is extremely necessary in the current context. Effectively exploiting this international flight route will be an important premise to soon open other routes, creating favorable conditions to attract investment, tourism, and socio-economic development of Nghe An province in particular and the North Central region in general.

The Provincial People's Committee has coordinated with Vietravel Company to open the flight route, and assigned relevant departments, agencies and sectors to survey and deploy flight service contents, propagate and promote information to individuals, organizations and agencies, coordinate with Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa provinces and neighboring areas to call for support and effectively exploit the Vinh-Bangkok flight route.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that relevant departments, branches and units need to actively coordinate to effectively exploit the Vinh - Bangkok flight route.

According to the plan, the Vinh - Bangkok route will open on June 8. The Vinh - Bangkok charter product uses a 180-seat A320 aircraft of Thai Vietjet Air, scheduled to depart on June 8, July 13, August 10, with a flight time of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of the participating departments, branches and units reported on the results of the implementation of the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, and at the same time gave many comments and recommendations to carefully prepare for the upcoming flight route.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien affirmed to continue to concretize and implement the commitment of the provincial leaders with Vietravel Company to effectively deploy the flight route to Bangkok.

He requested the units in charge to update and closely follow the daily flight route implementation situation, promptly complete the infrastructure at Vinh Airport, step up propaganda activities and coordinate with other provinces to effectively implement the Vinh - Bangkok charter flight route, creating a premise to increase flights, open regular flights to Thailand and open other international flights in the future.
