Love life of 3 transgender beauties in Vietnamese showbiz
Cindy Thai Tai, Lam Khanh Chi and Huong Giang Idol all experienced many ups and downs in love.
Cindy Thai Tai
Cindy Thai Tai is the first person in Vietnamese showbiz to publicly transition. She is famous not only in the modeling industry but also in singing. Cindy Thai Tai has gone through 3 unsuccessful marriages. On her fourth marriage, she found happiness with a foreign husband.
Talking about this love, Cindy shared that she and her "other half" met by chance while buying books in Hanoi. He pursued her and the two gradually developed feelings through text messages and dates. Because of love, even though he knew she was transgender, he still accepted to be with her. "He is handsome in my eyes, loves, cherishes, and respects my passion. Although he is younger, I learned a lot from him. That money is not everything, how you enjoy life, how you spend your time, and what is important. From then on, I gave up all-night parties, and did not care about branded or expensive items," Cindy Thai Tai said about the man of her life.

However, the transgender artist's happiness did not last long when her husband fell ill and died of cancer. After spending time in the UK attending her husband's funeral, Cindy Thai Tai returned to Vietnam with a broken spirit. She once had suicidal thoughts and had to see a psychologist for treatment. A long time after that loss, Cindy Thai Tai became a woman who no longer expected love. More than 4 years since her fourth husband passed away, the transgender artist has gradually opened her heart.

The transgender singer's partner, whose full name is Tran Phi Hung, is 8 years younger than her, has an attractive appearance and is from Nam Dinh. Before her current husband, Lam Khanh Chi had a deep love affair lasting 3 years with her boyfriend named Nguyen Cuong. They loved each other for 3 years, overcame many obstacles and planned to get married but still broke up in April 2014. Besides Nguyen Cuong, Lam Khanh Chi was also very open about her love story with her first boyfriend named Kenny Thang. They fell in love when she was 18 years old. After 3 years together, the two temporarily separated because Kenny Thang moved to the US to settle down. After a while of reuniting, they broke up again.
In April 2017, Lam Khanh Chi surprised fans when she let Tran Phi Hung "meet" and take a photo with her ex-lover Kenny Thang. Talking about this, the transgender singer expressed: "Love, no matter what time or stage, gives us many memories. When they are still in love, they are immersed in a dream of happiness, but when they break up, they see each other as enemies, hating each other little by little. But with Khanh Chi, it's different. Chi is lucky because every memory she experiences is a precious and unforgettable memory. Chi doesn't want there to be a boundary between old and new, past and present, but thinks it is the intersection between memories and current happiness."
Huong Giang Idol
In 2014, Huong Giang Idol attracted attention when she and her Vietnamese-American boyfriend Criss Lai participated in the Amazing Race and won the championship. After the competition, the two lived apart, with Huong Giang in Vietnam and Criss Lai settling in Canada, but their relationship was still very passionate. The transgender singer and her boyfriend often cuddled at entertainment events whenever he returned to Vietnam to visit her. Huong Giang also brought her boyfriend home to meet her family.
In January 2016, Huong Giang and Criss Lai were rumored to have broken up, but the singer denied it. In February of that year, she sadly celebrated Valentine's Day alone and announced that she was no longer in a relationship with the Vietnamese-Canadian man. Less than a week later, they got back together and continued to participate in the special edition of Amazing Race 2016 after clearing up all misunderstandings. However, the couple officially broke up shortly after.

In an interview at the end of November 2017, Huong Giang Idol shared that she was no longer interested in Vietnamese men. The transgender singer also added that she really liked her foreign co-star in the MV "Because of love, I got married" and the scene where the two kissed was real and not staged. However, this relationship of Huong Giang Idol also ended quickly. "I really liked him. He was a very gallant person. He drove us to and from filming, carried my suitcase for me and took good care of me, even though he was only paid as an actress (laughs). The relationship came very naturally and ended after I left Greece," she said.
