Edward Snowden wants political asylum in Brazil
According to AFP, US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden plans to seek political asylum in Brazil in exchange for helping Brazil investigate US spying on the South American country.
In an "open letter to the Brazilian people" published by the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper, Snowden expressed his willingness to support the investigation by the Brazilian Senate.
