(Baonghean.vn) - After Nghe An electronic newspaper (August 27, 2012) published the article "A Thai ethnic student passed 2 universities but could not enroll", a reader in the Federal Republic of Germany (pen name Khanh Tuyet) supported Van with over 10 million VND so that she could go to university.

As reported, Le Thi Van (born in 1994, Thai ethnic group, in Hat village, Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, Nghe An) is a poor student with difficult circumstances: her father abandoned her when she was young, her mother was sick, her family was very poor, but she knew how to overcome all circumstances and achieved high academic achievements. Through her years of studying from Chau Binh commune secondary school to the district's Ethnic Minority High School, Van was always an excellent student. In the recent university entrance exam (2012-2013), Van passed the Primary Education Department, Vinh University, and then passed the Primary Education Department of Nghe An Pedagogical College, but because her family was poor, she did not have money to enroll.

With the authorization of the sponsor, this afternoon, September 3, the People's Committee and the Association for Promotion of Education of Chau Binh commune, the Parents' Association of Quy Chau Ethnic Minority High School, together with the Party Cell of Hat village organized the presentation of the sponsor's money to Le Thi Van in the presence of the local villagers.

On behalf of the local government, Mr. Lang Xuan Chinh, Vice Chairman of Chau Binh Commune People's Committee, expressed his thanks to the author of the article, to Nghe An Newspaper and philanthropist Khanh Tuyet for their sympathy, sharing, and joining hands to help Van, and to departments at all levels for organizing and giving this meaningful charity gift. He said that this meaningful gift will be a motivation not only for Van but also for many students at all levels of Chau Binh Commune who are still facing difficulties to continue to strive to improve their lives and study well.
