Recently, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced the list of clubs licensed to participate in the AFC Champions League Elite (ACL Elite)/ AFC Champions League Two (ACL Two) and AFC Challenge League (ACGL) in the 2024/25 season.

Among them, ACL Elite is the top level of Asian club football, comprising 24 of the continent’s top clubs. The second level, comprising 32 teams, is ACL Two, and the final level, which will see 20 clubs compete, is ACGL.
Accordingly, in Southeast Asia alone, Vietnam leads with a total of 9 clubs qualified to participate in the AFC Champions League Elite/ AFC Champions League Two. Meanwhile, Thailand ranks 2nd with 8 teams qualified to compete in the tournament.
Ranked third is Indonesia, the "Land of Ten Thousand Islands" with a total of 7 clubs licensed by the AFC to participate in the AFC Champions League Elite/ AFC Champions League Two. In addition, this country also has 2 more teams qualified to participate in the AFC Challenge League.
