Specifically, the departure before Tet still has 20,238 tickets for the days from January 16 to January 22, 2014 and January 29. The departure after Tet still has 18,514 tickets for the days from February 3, 4 and from February 10 to February 15, 2014, mainly from stations from Hanoi to Vinh, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang to Saigon.

There are still more than 6,000 extra seats left on the even-numbered Thong Nhat train during peak days from January 20 to January 24, 2014, departing from stations from Quang Ngai and beyond, and from January 25 to January 29, 2014, departing from stations from Hue and beyond.
