Red Journey Gala - Connecting Vietnamese blood in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of July 22, the Red Journey Gala Program - Connecting Vietnamese Bloodlines took place in Nghe An. Attending the program were Ms. Tran Thi Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, Member of the National Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee, Meritorious Doctor Bach Quoc Khanh, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society and many members of the Red Journey Gala delegation.

This is a program responding to the national voluntary blood donation campaign across Vietnam organized by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in 25 provinces and cities under the name "Red Journey" in 2014. Starting from July 2 in Kien Giang province, Nghe An is now the 14th province the journey has stopped at.

At the gala night, artists, ambassador singers and volunteers of the Red Journey 2014 brought to the program songs praising the love of homeland and country, praising the noble deeds of voluntary blood donors. The Gala night attracted hundreds of young volunteers of the Red Journey program and a large number of young people in Nghe An.
During the Gala night, Ms. Nguyen Luong Hong, President of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Blood Donation Program at the Gala night of the "Red Journey 2014 - Connecting Vietnamese Blood" program, expressed her most sincere thanks to the delegation. In her speech, she said, "You have brought all the countryside closer together, making people more connected and sharing with each other. This is the second year that Nghe An has welcomed the "Red Journey" on a national scale to mobilize people to participate in voluntary blood donation and to propagate blood diseases to the general public."

The Southern Red Journey delegation set off in Kien Giang and stopped at the heroic Red City, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh. The land is full of sunshine and Lao wind but very hospitable and full of emotions. In this Gala night, volunteers of the program enjoyed special performances praising the noble acts of donating blood to save lives, and at the same time interacted with typical blood donors. Interacted with volunteers and managers; enjoyed flashmob dances. Through the program, the organizers called on everyone to join in showing noble acts, donating blood to save lives, giving drops of red blood to save lives. The Red Journey has gathered humanity and love between people.
