Faced with the complicated developments of the Ebola epidemic in countries in the West African region, to proactively prevent and control the epidemic and prevent the virus from entering Vietnam, on August 7, the Ministry of Health issued a Decision on the Action Plan for the prevention and control of the Ebola epidemic in Vietnam.
According to this plan, there are 3 scenarios. Specifically, scenario 1 is when no cases have been recorded, the goal is to detect cases early in Vietnam to handle thoroughly, avoiding spreading to medical staff and the community.
In case of imported cases, it is necessary to isolate and thoroughly handle the outbreak, actively treat it to minimize deaths and spread to the community.
Scenario 3 is when the epidemic spreads in the community. At this time, it is necessary to respond quickly, isolate, promptly and thoroughly handle the outbreak, and actively treat to minimize deaths and reduce spread to the community.
