Nearly 1,000 Nghe An people have visited Bach Mai Hospital for examination over the past 14 days.
(Baonghean.vn) - Not counting the patients' relatives, the number of Nghe An people who came to Bach Mai Hospital for examination within 14 days since the request for review was made was nearly 1,000 people.
Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters on March 28, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that the unit has just transferred a list of patients who had visited and received treatment at Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi) to district-level medical centers to organize screening, isolation, and monitoring at home.
According to statistics, within 14 days (from March 10 to March 24), Nghe An province had 962 people coming to Bach Mai Hospital for examination, of which 121 were inpatients, the rest only returned home after examination. This number does not include a large number of family members of patients who accompanied them to the hospital.
"We have directed the monitoring of the patient's relatives to prevent the epidemic," said the head of Nghe An's health sector, adding that during the quarantine and monitoring process at home, if unusual symptoms are detected, the authorities will take samples for testing.

Bach Mai Hospital, considered an "epidemic hotbed", has temporarily stopped receiving patients and quarantined the entire hospital, not allowing anyone to enter or leave. The decision was made after the hospital recorded two new Covid-19 cases, "patients 168" and 169. They are hot water delivery staff, who were found to be positive for Covid-19 after screening nearly 5,000 people at the hospital. All nearly 1,000 patients being treated here will not be discharged to the community until they test negative.

Two days ago, Nghe An issued an urgent document to review and search for people who had been examined at this hospital within 14 days. The review was carried out urgently after the hospital had 3 Covid-19 patients. Of which, "patient 86" and "patient 87" are 2 female nurses of the hospital, "patient 133" was treated at the Neurology Department from February 29 to March 22.
