Nearly 1,000 workers at BSE Electronics Company Limited went on strike.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 6, nearly 1,000 workers of BSE Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd., Nghe An branch, located in Area C, Nam Cam Industrial Park (in Nghi Loc district) organized a strike.
The reason, according to the workers, is that some benefits have not been guaranteed for a long time. Meanwhile, according to the company's new regulations, from August 12, the company will change production shifts, shift 1 from 4:30 am to 1:30 pm and shift 2 from 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Thus, the working time for each shift will be 9 hours, while there is no overtime allowance. The current income of workers is too low to cover their living expenses. Regarding this issue, all workers have submitted a petition to the Company's Board of Directors and requested a response, but the company has not commented on it.

Throughout this morning, from 6:30, nearly 1,000 workers gathered in front of the company gate to request that the director directly respond to the workers, but the request was rejected. The company asked some workers' representatives to come in to discuss, but the workers did not accept this request because they said that if they stood up to represent and demand their rights, they would be fired.

It was not until 11:00 that the company reached an agreement to invite all the striking workers to the company hall at 1:30 p.m. to have a direct dialogue with the director. However, that was only a promise. It was not until 4:00 p.m. this afternoon that although the workers surrounded the company demanding a confrontation as promised, the only answer they received from the company security was that the company would not be able to work this afternoon.
In particular, when reporters wanted to approach the company representative to get an answer about the above incident, they were also prevented by security, with the reason that the company had not yet agreed on the answer.
By the end of August 6, the workers all said they would not return to work if their benefits were not satisfactorily resolved by the company.
In the face of the above incident, the local authorities of Nghi Loc district, Nam Cam Industrial Park, relevant departments, especially the trade union organization, need to quickly intervene and verify the incident. On that basis, request the company to comply with the Labor Law, in order to ensure the rights of workers, not to let the incident arise and prolong, causing insecurity and disorder in the area, while ensuring stable production of the Company.
